Mr. Wes LaBar serves as Head of Acquisitions at TruAmerica Multifamily, where he leads the firm’s national acquisition strategy and team. Since joining the firm as an analyst in the Orange County office in 2017, Wes has steadily advanced through the organization, now overseeing a multibillion-dollar acquisition platform and serving on the firm’s Investment Committee. His career progression reflects both strategic acumen and an exceptional ability to lead and scale high-performing teams.
Over his tenure, Wes has directed the acquisition and recapitalization of more than $5.1 billion in multifamily transactions, encompassing 20,400+ units nationwide. In 2021, he launched TruAmerica’s Salt Lake City office, extending the firm’s geographic reach and deepening its Western U.S. presence.
Wes is recognized for his collaborative leadership style and ability to drive results across functions and regions, qualities that have been instrumental in TruAmerica’s continued growth. He brings over 11 years of multifamily investment experience, including prior roles at Sundance Bay Multifamily, Chartwell Capital Partners, and Compass Acquisition Partners.
Wes earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business and is an active member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), including its Political Action Committee (PAC). Wes is also actively engaged in his community, where he volunteers as a youth lacrosse coach.
