Christopher Wei serves as Senior Managing Director of Portfolio Management at TruAmerica Multifamily, where he oversees the firm’s national disposition, recapitalization, and refinancing initiatives. In this role, he leads the planning and execution of asset and portfolio exit strategies, collaborating closely with the Executive team and key members across Asset Management, Construction Management, and Acquisitions to drive performance and execution.
Christopher joined TruAmerica in 2013 as part of the Acquisitions team, where he closed approximately $3 billion in transactions before transitioning into a leadership position within Portfolio Management. Since then, he has led more than $7.1 billion in dispositions and $2 billion in refinancings, leveraging his acquisitions background to bring a distinct perspective that has been instrumental in optimizing the firm’s capital event strategies and outcomes.
Prior to joining TruAmerica, Christopher worked at Freddie Mac Multifamily, where he played a key role in originating over $3 billion in Western U.S. agency loans.
He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
